Community Inclusion & Social Activities

Staying part of your community — the coffee, the club, the class, the volunteering — with whatever support makes it possible.

  • Built around your interests
  • 1:1 or small group support
  • Skill building included

The point isn't the outing. It's staying connected.

Isolation does real damage, and it creeps in quietly — a group you stopped going to, a friend you stopped visiting because the trip was too hard to organise. Community support exists to remove that logistical barrier, not to fill a calendar with activities somebody else chose.

So we start with what you actually enjoy. Your worker goes with you, does as much or as little as you need on the day, and works towards you needing them less — helping you learn the bus route, order at the counter, or manage the group booking yourself.

This is usually the right fit if

  • You've dropped activities you used to enjoy because getting there became too hard
  • You want to build confidence doing things independently in public
  • You're new to an area, or your social circle has shrunk
  • You want to volunteer, study or join a group but need support to start

Good community support works itself out of a job. If you need us less this year than last, something has gone right.

Getting started

How we set this up with you

  1. 1

    Talk about interests

Not services — interests. What you used to do, what you'd like to try, what you've missed.

  2. 2

    Plan the practicalities

Transport, cost, accessibility, timing and how much support you want on the day.

  3. 3

    Matched worker

Someone whose interests and personality actually fit yours, not just whoever is free.

  4. 4

    Build independence

We step back as your confidence grows, and review what you want to do next.
